Therefore we can say that the objective of God is to take us to maximum growth, to the exact measure of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the church of Acts there was maturity because the members were full of the Holy Spirit. The word says that signs and wonders were performed by the apostles. To be mature, of full stature, to attain the stature of the perfect man, is God´s will for all of us, and His express calling. The church of Acts lived this dimension in the Spirit, and was the recipient of the former rains. We are recipients of the latter rains, rains that will produce the maturing of the fruit. Rains that, on an even larger scale, will produce the same kind of quality of life that reigned in Jerusalem. We have this promise from God. We should, like them, persevere unanimous in prayer, share our bread with singleness of heart, and anchor our souls in the doctrine of the apostles.

God Himself reveals that He desires something for our lives. This represents God´s will for the Church, to make it grow, and to become pure and without wrinkle. This is God´s objective! To lead it to offer sacrifices that are pleasing to Him. It is for this that we were called. Such sacrifices constitute a scope of total obedience to God in our relationships with other people.

In summary, God’s objective for the Church is the reason for its existence. The Church is the channel of His will. It is through the Church that God will fulfill His holy word. Our goals should be everything that cooperates with the work of the Holy Spirit, so that such growth will take place in our church. The local Agape body is a powerful agent in the manifestation of God. He will lead us to live the word in such a manner that our daily lives will be an exact replica of that which is found in the word. Our objective should be to contribute, and to submit ourselves in such a way that we all reach our supreme calling – that of the perfect man, and perfectly equipped for every good work.
